Diane Murray-Charrett’s passion and love of choral singing began as a child growing up in Winnipeg, Mantioba. She holds a Master of Music Education degree from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Music Education from Brandon University, and Orff Certification from the University of Manitoba. Prior to relocating to the Halton region in 2006, Diane was a music teacher in the public school system, and a community choral conductor in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In addition to leading the OCC boychoir, Diane is also the founding conductor of the Gaudeamus Boys Choir, and the Gaudeamus Girls Choir, located in Halton Hills. As the mother of three boys, she most definitely recognizes the importance of sharing the love of music with boys, helping them understand that singing is an enriching and rewarding way to create music.
