The Community Foundation of Oakville
The
Oakville Children’s Choir is pleased to offer an overnight choir
camp for the summer of 2005. This 7-day camp is ideal for children
aged 8 to 13 who want to have a residential camp experience where
the focus will be on choral singing for treble voices. This camp
will be an introduction to choral music and will appeal to a broad
range of children who may have no experience to perhaps singing in
a school, church, or community choir.
The
program offers young singers an enriched musical experience, where
they will learn exciting repertoire and receive exceptional vocal
instruction by some of Ontario’s finest professional musicians.
Paired with the singing component, the children will learn about
the outdoors and the environment and enjoy physical activities and
team-building games, led by the Field Centre staff.
The
choir camp concludes with a final concert for family and friends.

The
Claremont Field Centre is a beautiful self-contained cedar
engineered-log chalet complete with dorms for choristers and
staff, a large dining hall, a spacious lounge, and teaching areas.
Food service staff provide healthy, wholesome meals and can
