Dinah Christie

The Performer

Dinah Christie has been singing, dancing and acting all over North America since her twelfth birthday when her father gave her a guitar.

She appeared on stage at the Stratford Shakespearean Festival and was a resident member of the company for four seasons.

Her television appearances include This Hour Has Seven Days, Party Games and Check It Out.

Dinah won two Gemini Awards for her performance in Check It Out and another for her CBC special, Dinah and Friends.

The Writer and Director

Dinah has created musicals for Tom Kneebone's Smile Theatre Company for several years. She has directed the US premier of Dean Regan's A Closer Walk with Patsy Kline, designed costumes for the 2003 National Tour of Red Rock Diner and assisted in the direction of two international tours of Forever Swing.

The Inventor and Entrepreneur

Dinah has a bronze plaque in Ottawa's Museum of Science and Technology for her Hot Heels - protectors for the backs of drivers' shoes. Her hemp line of adventure accessories are available at Tilley Endurables and from her web site www.baddsisters.com.

The Philanthropist

Dinah raises money for causes such as breast cancer research, childrens' hospitals, AIDS research, Big Sisters and for various theatre groups.
