MUSIC EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN (MEC)

The Oakville Children’s Choir is pleased to introduce a new program for younger children.

Music Education for Children is an active music making program for children to foster their inner musicianship and love of music.

Children will explore the foundations of music (melody, beat and rhythm) through singing, movement, instruments, games and creative play. The program is an excellent foundation for children who wish to pursue further music studies and excellent as a preparation for the Oakville Children’s Choir choral program.

MEC Instructor

Instructor Anna Marie Dan has extensive training in
Kodaly and Orff Music pedagogy and early childhood music.

Children in Senior Kindergarten and Grade 1

CLASS SIZE

Maximum 12 Children

DAY & TIMES

Tuesdays

Class A: 5:15-6:15 p.m.

Class B: 6:15-7:15 p.m.

DURATION

24 weeks over two terms

Term 1: September 20 – December 6

Term 2: January 10 – April 18 (February 28 off)

Trafalgar Presbyterian Church

354 Upper Middle Rd. E., Oakville

PRICE

$350 ($25 Registration Fee + $325 Program Fee)
