Janet Stachow

Janet graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Music (Music Education and Composition) and Bachelor of Education. She holds a Licentiate Diploma in Piano Performance from Trinity College in England, Artist-Teacher and A.R.C.T diplomas from the Royal Conservatory of Music. Janet is the OCC’s Associate Music Director and the Conductor for the Intermediate Choir. Janet has been with the OCC since its fourth season is the author of several compositions performed by the choir.

Executive Director

Eileen Keown

Eileen Keown is a dynamic and energetic individual with a wide range of experience in the music profession. In addition to her administrative duties as the Executive Director of the Oakville Children’s Choir, Ms Keown is also a performing member of the Chamber Music Society of Mississauga. She has worked in the television industry and has been an administrator at Mount Royal College (Calgary), Dean of the RCM Community Schools (Toronto), General Manager of the Kiwanis Music Festival (Toronto) and Executive Director of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir. Ms. Keown is a senior examiner for RCM Examinations, and is active as a teacher, an adjudicator and a performer. Ms Keown holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Alberta, and a Performance Diploma from the Mozarteum (Salzburg). She has performed extensively as a piano soloist, chamber musician and accompanist both in recital and broadcast.
