The OCC Education outreach program consists of strong music education programming for our own OCC choristers as well as education outreach through collaborative and community projects. Calling All OCC Choristers and Halton Students Grades 2 -12!

Then, this poetry event is for you!

The Oakville Children’s Choir is holding a poetry writing competition and the winning poem will be set to music by Oakville composer Janet Stachow and premiered at The Oakville Children's Choir concert on Saturday May 24th, 2008.

  • What is the TOPIC? Nature, our Environment or the First Nations People of Canada

  • Who can Enter: OCC choristers and/or Halton Students, Grades 2-12
  • Poetry Topic: Nature, our Environment, or First Nations People of Canada
  • Deadline: Wednesday February 27, 2008

First Prize:

  • $100.00
  • 2 tickets to the May OCC concert
  • a concert CD
  • a certificate of recognition

Application:

Judging:

Entries will be judged on creativity, suitability, & excellence
