Young singers aged 7 to 16 who are interested in singing in the OCC can audition for the 2008/2009 season in August 2008. No previous choral experience is required. Auditions are conducted in a positive and caring manner by the Music Director and Associate Music Director.

At the audition children will be required to:
- sing a prepared song of their choice
- read text
- receive age appropriate music and vocal skill assessment
- Grade 3+: complete a written theory assessment

There is a non-refundable $10 audition fee.


Time Commitment
Being a member of the Oakville Children's Choir requires time and dedication from the chorister and his or her family. At the audition, commitment expectations are outlined. Parent involvement is vital to maintain the high standard and operation of the choir.

Choir Fees as of 2008 (Tuition and Activities) Each chorister is required to pay an annual fee:
Senior Choir: $1125
Intermediate Choir: $835
Cherub Choir: $635

Bursaries are available for choristers based on financial need. Details of how to apply are provided with acceptance letters.
Uniforms are purchased from the choir with the exception of some items which are rented.
Fundraising is mandatory and expectations are outlined at the auditions. Each chorister family is required to assist in fundraising activities.
